We are a small not for profit 501(c)(3) public charity -- All volunteer rescue group who are dedicated to rescuing and re-homing toy breed dogs from commercial kennels, puppymills, and kill shelters. Bile Acids test confirms this little baby - Mollie Mae does have a liver shunt so will need surgery to survive.
Normal level after eating should be <20 and hers was 200.
We are making inquires at different places to see who does this surgery and how much it will cost.
This is our 2nd liver shunt baby we will treat.

April 15th
Mollie is not doing well. She is back to sleeping alot and lethargic. Thursday she had 2 seizures 2 hours apart.

Surgery was May 1st and Mollie is back at her foster home and doing well. She was in ICU a little longer than what we expected so her bill was more. We are $500 in the red now. Donations can be sent through our chipin below or sent directly to WolfSpirit's

Appt at OSU Monday April 23rd. Surgery was supposed to be Tuesday but since she has been having seizures it has been postponed. She's on 3 medications and will return to OSU on the 30th and surgery will be May 1st. Mollie will need to stay until Friday so that she can be monitored.
Mollie still needs your donations to get to have this happen. Estimate now is $3000.

This little baby is one of our newest rescues. Another rescue got a call about some dogs that needed to go to rescue. The breeder was in trouble and needed to reduce the number of dogs she had. Wednesday she called the other rescue and said she has a little one that was having seizures and wanted to know if she could bring it. A 10 week old Mini Schnauzer. The other rescue could not take her because they have no special needs foster homes. Naturally we said yes, we would take her in to see if we can help her. This is the same place Tasha and Angel came from.

February 4th, 2012, we rescued 2 little schnauzers that were coming from a breeder that was told to reduce the number of dogs she had. We only knew their names and ages. We never expected what happened next with one of the little ones, yet never for one second regret it.

Tasha is a 5 yr old Black Mini Schnauzer. The night she came to us she could not stand on her back legs at all. She drug them behind her. 10 pounds and grossly overweight. She appeared to have been in pain for a long time.

We need more temporary foster homes for small dogs. This time of the year it seems that many kennels/mills are cleaning out for the winter. Many are in states where the laws have changed and they need to downsize their "inventory". If rescue doesn't take them, too many of these helpless souls will be needlessly killed.
